This week, we’re featuring Uyazi which is a skincare brand founded by sisters Karen and Astrid. The name Uyazi, which means “to know” in Zulu, reflects the heart of their philosophy: understanding what goes into the products we use on our bodies.
Growing up as farm girls in KwaZulu-Natal, Karen and Astrid developed a deep respect for nature and the role it plays in our wellbeing. That connection to nature is what inspired them to create skincare products made with ingredients that truly matter.
Uyazi has become especially loved for its indulgent body butters, beautifully whipped to resemble soft cream, as well as their nourishing body sugar scrubs. Each product is designed not only to care for the skin, but to celebrate the simple, natural ingredients behind it.
Uyazi is more than just skincare. It’s a reminder that when we understand our ingredients, we can make better choices for ourselves and our bodies.
